Day 2: Sept 05 Renner Springs to Alice Springs – 669km.

  • 9.30am Photo at Tenant Creek Station (breaky and refuel)

  • 1.45pm Departure
  • 3.45pm Photo at Alice Springs Police Station

Day 3: Sept 06 Alice Springs to Glendambo – 940km

  • 7.00am Meet at Alice Springs Police Station Photo prior to departure

  • 10.00am Photo Kulgera Police Station (refuel)

  • 10.30am Border Photo (last official stop)
  • 10.40am Departure
  • 12.15pm Marla lunch and refuel on arrival.

Day 4: Sept 07 Glendambo to Clare via Hancock’s Look out – Casual 497km

  • 07.30am Departure from front hotel
  • 10.30am Port Augusta for refuel (Pimba has fuel if required)
  • 11.30am Hancocks Look out – drone photo opportunity
  • 12.00pm Departure
  • 1.00pm Wirrabara for lunch (fuel if required)
  • 2.30pm Clare – park up and take in a Winery or have a beer or simply relax

Day 5: Sept 08 Clare to Halls Gap via Barossa Valley and Wartook – 608km

  • 8.00am meet at a central point for departure on B82 To Tarlee, Kapunda, Baroosa Valley, to the B10 to Mount Pleasant then onto Jervios dodging the M1 at Murray Bridge
  • 10.30am Jervios refuel depart on A8
  • 12.30pm Kaniva lunch and refuel
  • 1.00pm departure
  • 2.30pm Approx right turn onto C222 to Wartook
  • 3.15pm Halls Gap take in Pinnacle Look out, Silverband Falls

Day 6: Sept 09 Halls Gap to Apollo Bay via Tower Hill and GOR – 401km

  • 8.30am departure for Port Fairy via Dunkeld and Hamilton
  • 10.30am Port Fairy – refuel and bakery for smoko
  • 11.00am depart for Port Campbell via B100 stay on B100 to Port Campbell and take in the view
  • 1.00pm Lunch reservation at Timboon Railway Shed Distillery
  • 2.00pm ish – Leave when ready to take in the sights as only 110km’s along the GOR to Apollo Bay
  • Cape Otway Lightstation is a 26k round trip roughly
  • REMEMBER GOR SPEED LIMIT VARRIES 60 TO 80 FOR THE MOST PART
  • Sand Piper Motel – Apollo Bay 3 Murray Street
  • Walk to Apollo bay hotel for dinner

Day7: Sept 10 Apollo Bay to Sale via Ferry and Wilson Promontory – 484km

  • 7.00am departure following GOR (B100) then C122 to Queenscliff
  • 10.00am Queenscliff Ferry to Sorrento (only 135k’s)
  • 11.00am Depart ferry
  • 12.00pm Tooradin for refuel
  • 1.30pm Fish Creek Hotel for Lunch
  • 2.15pm depart for Sandy Point and Ned Neales Lookout
  • 5.00pm arrive Sale

Sept 11: Sale to Cooma via Khancoban and the Alpine way – 529km. (Damn freezing)

  • 7.30am depart Sale for Khancoban
  • 9.30am Refuel Omeo

  • 1.30pm Lunch Thredbo Pub refuel
  • 2.15pm Departure
  • 2.45pm Wild Brumbies Schnapps Distillery
  • 3.30pm Departure
  • 4.45pm Arrive Cooma

Bad weather option via Cann River on Princes and Monaro Highways – 406km.

Sept 12: Breakfast then ride to Cabramurra Lookout

  • Highest town in Australia. Damn freezing, but great view. Back to the Alpine for late lunch and a bottle of wine by the fire.
  • Rest day if weather bad

Sept 13: Cooma to Canberra – Wall to Wall Ceremony

  • 7.00am departure for those wishing to make the 9.00am service with AFP.
  • Then breakfast in Canberra Somewhere
