WALL TO WALL RIDE FOR 2022 – WRAP UP
As 2022 comes to a close we have now wrapped up all of this year’s ride.
It is with great pleasure that we announce there were 1985 registered riders and pillions for this year’s ride.
Being able to return to Canberra this year meant so much to so many. Although some riders participated in their own way through regional and or state rides. A special thanks to all riders, pillions and friends who joined the 13th annual ride making this year that much more special. Thanks too to state and territory W2W organisers for their continuing efforts and ongoing support. Well done everyone.
Coming from this fantastic support this year the Wall to Wall Ride for 2022 raised an amount of $168,074.68. The Board of the National Police Memorial announced that all these funds will go to the chosen legacies of those who registered.
Whilst we pledged a minimum of $50 from each registration towards Police Legacies, we and you reached a staggering amount of $84.67 per registration after individual fundraising, raffle ticket sales and sponsor support. This takes the total amount raised for Police Legacies over the past 13 rides to a fantastic $1,484,328. A great effort by all who have participated not only this year but also in the past times.
Thank you to all who participated or were involved. Special thanks to all this year’s 28 sponsors. Special thanks too to Yamaha Australia for their continuing support and donation the MT07 motorcycle – 4328 tickets were sold.
Looking ahead to 2023 we do hope we can all gather again in Canberra to remember the fallen, share some stories of the past few years and be with your mates.
Stay tuned for 2023 updates in the new year.
2023 ride is Saturday 16 September. Registrations are anticipated to open by April
Best wishes to everyone
